Joy and Mattering at Crossan School

Joy Matters…

We are happy to announce that this year we will be installing a Joy and Mattering in our classrooms to support our students with developing skills needed for rapport building such as, respect, collaboration. teamwork, creativity, and compassion.  The goal behind this idea is to allow students to develop soft skills needed to build strong character that can be lived through play and non-academic learning.

In addition, we will be having quarterly major events such a fall and spring carnivals and dances for our leaders.  Know that attendance and behavior will be closely monitored and used as criteria for participation.

Every team member, including the Principal, will identify course and teach that course on this Friday afternoon.  An expectation of this endeavor is to increase connectivity between students and the school with the hope that they can associate the school environment with a place that allows for joy.
